ScriptPing helps you see where ADHD medications are getting filled near you and request your refills on time. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. We tried to keep it plain.
Your data stays on your device by default. The medication, prescriber, and pharmacy details you enter are stored locally on your iPhone, encrypted at rest.
One feature is different, and it is optional and off by default: if you turn on availability sharing, the outcome of your pharmacy visits (which pharmacy, which medication, whether it was filled) is sent anonymously to our server so people nearby can see where a medication was recently available. Everything about this is described below, and you can delete your reports at any time.
We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not track you across apps or websites.
You send every message yourself. ScriptPing drafts messages to your prescriber; it never sends anything on your behalf. You review and send each one manually.
ScriptPing is not a medical provider. It does not prescribe medication, recommend dosages, give medical advice, or guarantee pharmacy availability.
You choose to enter this, and it is saved only in the app's local storage on your device. It is encrypted at rest with AES-256; the encryption key is stored in your iPhone's Keychain, stays on that device only (it is not synced to iCloud), and is deleted if you erase your data in Settings:
This information is used only to: estimate when you should request your next prescription, send you local reminders, pre-fill the draft message you choose to send, and show your refill history.
ScriptPing has an opt-in feature (off by default) that lets people help each other find medication during shortages. If you turn on “Contribute & see pharmacy availability” in Settings:
When you link your pharmacy to its map listing, the pharmacy name you type (and an approximate location to bias the results) is sent to Google's Places service to find the matching listing. The availability map also uses Google Places: when you open or move the map, your approximate location (rounded to roughly a 1-kilometer area, the same rounding described above) is sent to Google to list pharmacies nearby. Google processes those requests under its own policy: policies.google.com/privacy. Your medication details are never sent to Google.
Refill reminders are delivered as local notifications scheduled on your device; they do not require a push-notification token or send your data to a notification server. You can disable notifications in iOS Settings at any time.
Your free-text notes about your pharmacy are a private record stored on your device and are never sent to a server. The outcome of your pharmacy visits (filled / out of stock / partial) is also private by default; it is shared with the availability network only if you have turned that feature on, as described above.
ScriptPing is currently free to use with no purchases in the app. The app includes a purchases library (RevenueCat) that assigns an anonymous identifier so that optional paid features, if introduced later, could be verified; no payment information is collected today. If a paid feature is introduced, payment would be processed by Apple through the App Store — ScriptPing never receives or stores your payment-card information — and Apple and RevenueCat would process limited purchase data under their own privacy policies:
The medication and prescriber details you enter are health-related. ScriptPing treats them as private and keeps them on your device; the only health-related information that ever reaches our server is the medication name/dose attached to availability reports and searches you make with the optional availability feature; we do not sell or share any of it. ScriptPing is a reminder and drafting tool, not a medical service: it does not prescribe medication, recommend dosage changes, provide medical advice, or guarantee that a pharmacy has your medication. Always confirm with your prescriber and pharmacy.
On your device: your data lives locally until you delete it. Settings has an “Erase all data” option, and deleting the app removes its local data. On our server: if you used the availability feature, your reports are deleted automatically after 30 days, and Settings → “Delete my availability reports” removes them immediately. If you have never turned that feature on, we hold nothing about you to delete.
ScriptPing is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region) and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
ScriptPing stores your entries locally on your device wherever you are. If you opt into availability sharing, that data is processed on servers located in the United States. If paid features are introduced, limited purchase data would be processed by Apple and RevenueCat under their respective policies.
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and post the new version at www.scriptping.com/privacy. Material changes may also be noted in the app.
